March 4, 2024

A man has died days after he was electrocuted at a worksite in Pinkenba near Brisbane airport.

Queensland police confirmed the death of the 30-year-old Sunshine Coast man on Monday morning.

Emergency services were originally called to a workplace on Bancroft Road about 10.50am last Tuesday, after reports a man had been injured.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) said four of their crews were sent to assist paramedics with accessing the roof of a business via a crane — where the man had been completing electrical work.

Paramedics said the man required resuscitation before he was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

Police confirmed the man died of his injuries on Friday, March 1.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland are investigating the incident.
